Includes manuscripts of his main published works, unpublished dissertation at Strasbourg University, 1891, and 20 unpublished drafts. Notebooks of 1899, 1905, 1905-1910, include topics such as light pressure on solid and gaseous substances, optics, electromagnetic theory of light. Files also include talks and reviews of scientific works, and teaching materials. Also, laboratory diaries, 1882-1911; referee files 1888-1901; notes from lectures by Helmholtz and Christoffel at Berlin University. Personal papers, documents, and photos reflect Lebedev's education at school in Berlin and at Strasbourg and Moscow Universities, 1900-1910; and the organization of the Physical Institute at Moscow University, 1896-1910. Personal notebooks span 1890-1906, and travelling in Europe, 1889-1903. Notebooks with copies of his letters, 1893-1912, with 140 correspondents are available; among the correspondents are: S.
